The 2019 Toyota 4Runner is arguably the most capable vehicle in the Toyota lineup for drivers interested in adventuring off the beaten path. While all of the 4Runner’s seven available trim levels will offer drivers plenty of capability, some of the higher trims like the Limited configuration or TRD Pro configuration may be especially desirable.
To help SUV shoppers during their research process, we have compared the Limited and TRD Pro trims below, so they can get an idea of which trim fits them best before heading to their local dealership. Of course, the Serra Toyota team at our Birmingham location is also available in person to provide guidance.
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner Limited and TRD Pro trims are both stacked with a variety of amenities to help drivers stay comfortable whether they are driving on smooth pavement or rough terrain. Drivers can expect the following amenities to come standard on either configuration: automatic headlights, fog lights, heated side mirrors, a moonroof, skid plates, a multi-information display, heated front seats, and a rear power-operated liftgate window.
From there, the trims differ in their focus. The Limited trim is geared more towards drivers interested in adding on additional premium amenities while the TRD Pro trim is geared towards off-road performance. Driving habits and lifestyle should be the primary driver when selecting between the two trims.
Additional standard features on the Limited trim include roof rails, 20-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, the Toyota Smart Key System, front and rear parking assist, and an available third-row seat with space for two extra passengers. The TRD Pro trim comes standard with a roof rack, 17-inch TRD alloy wheels, front and rear mudguards, TRD badging and interior accents, multi-terrain select, active traction control, a locking rear differential, Crawl Control, TRD Fox Shocks, and a higher ground clearance.
