First experience ever buying my own vehicle was absolutely ruined by this dealership. I traded in my truck for a Tacoma TRD Off Road and when driving it home the transmission skipped. Brought it back the following Monday and they informed me that it will need a transmission replacement (good thing they missed that in the inspection). Waited a week and a half and still no news. Drove here today hoping they would make it right, but everything they showed me was above the price i paid for the original tacoma so they ācouldnt make it workā Here i am leaving with my Ford again today with a cancelled contract and sour taste in my mouth. I highly suggest to ANYONE that is in the market for a used vehicle steer VERY CLEAR of Serra Toyota. They WILL screw you over.
Unauthorized charges for a oil change, MOA added without being consulted about what a MOA is or why it would be needed on a car that has only 38k miles on it.

Honestly could be where the Sleazy underhanded Car Salesman stereotype is derived from. This is the experience of an elderly woman who paid Close to 25,000.00 on a Toyota Certified Used Car. Some serious take aways from this dealership. 1. Toyota Certified does not really mean anything at all. 2. The definition of a Sleazy Salesman with 0 customer Service. 3. Really no desire from this dealership to make it right with the customer. Toyota Certified? You may have better quality from a non-Toyota dealership. These are not the professionals you would expect. Fairly New Used Car Toyota Certified, had to call AAA the next morning after purchase as the car would not start. Further issues were later Identified but not until after multiple return trips dealership. The check Engine lights illuminated, and there was substantial Oil Leak. Sleaze salesman all about the up sale. This is a 78 Year old woman that purchased this vehicle, she came in with a reliable operational vehicle and left with a Very Unreliable car. She was looking to upgrade to a Toyota Corolla and was sent to this dealership from their sister site in Decatur. The salesman put her into a Used Prius with little or no understanding of the vehicles operation. More concerned with the sale than getting the customer what they WANTED and NEEDED. After the initial failure and roadside assistance need these people put her on the road back home multiple times with no real look at the vehicle and refused to return her original auto. Absolutely 0 customer service. They were more than willing to take advantage of this woman. It wasn't until she returned with her son and pictures that any type of resolution was reached. Returned 60 miles the day following her purchase after having AAA jump start the car. She wanted to return or purchase a different vehicle but it was "BUYER BEWARE" and they would put hers in service and give her a loaner. After 4+ hours of sitting at the dealership they do not have a loaner to giver her, the service department is closed, and they jump her car and put her back in it to make the 60 mile trek home. When she asked, "what should I do if I have to stop on the way home I need groceries." The sleazman replied, "leave it running, or call AAA if it wont start." Sounds about like the most egregious thing imaginable in my mind. Final outcome. The Oil Drain Plug was not in correctly, leaking substantial oil, yet they had her make multiple 120 Mile round trips to the dealership before it was identified. Battery was unserviceable and was eventually replace. Still no loaner vehicle for the additional wasted day sitting at the Serra Toyota Service Department. The Salesman made sure to let us know how lucky we were that they fixed it at no charge and put in a new battery also at No Charge. Seriously..no charge. The vehicle still has Manufacture warranty coverage, not to mention the additional "EXTENDED WARANTY" you stuck her with. Good Job. Bottom Line Avoid this place like the Plague. Decatur and Birmingham Locations.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This dealership preys on young, vulnerable buyers. Their salesperson Montel falsified loan documents in order to force an approval. The interest was never disclosed (23%!!!) and he refused to supply the loan documents when they were requested. This salesperson aided an abusive partner in committing financial abuse on a young lady who will now suffer years of consequences of the manipulation from both parties. I have emailed the GM John McDonald, who has not responded. Serra dealerships have been under investigation in the past for these fraudulent practices, but apparently have not learned their lesson. Find another dealership of integrity, if one exists.
We were welcomed by our Salesman Devin and he did a great job. He went over everything with us took us and for a test drive. Devin had everything taken care of for us and the purchase went smooth. Also Joel the compliance delivery specialist was very nice and through. Everything went well and was made easy for us.
I recently purchased RAV4 XLE Hybrid with convenience and weather packages from Serra. This was the time when summer sale was going on. Abdoul Abo Aouda, who was my sales representative, was a very humble, cool and genuine person. My every questions were answered In detail which made my task easier. Although, I had to visit the dealership couple of times to crack the right deal (got reasonable discount in base MRP with special interest rate), but it was worth it.
I worked with Montel and through the car buying process and he delivered 5 stars across the board. From making sure I got the car ans features I wanted to even delivering it to me. Even the finance team was pleasant. 10/10!!
Exceptional customer service. Highly recommend. Frank and the manager went above and beyond to help me with purchasing another car since my car was totaled from an accident.
