TSS 3.0

Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) * helps detect a vehicle, pedestrian, bicyclist, or motorcyclist. It will also indicate this detection to you via an audio/visual forward-collision warning when circumstances allow. If you fail to react to this warning, the PCS w/PD will engage emergency braking.

Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to detect white/yellow lane markings and specific road-edge boundary lines when moving in excess of 30 mph. If the LDA w/SA system detects a potential inadvertent lane departure, audio and visual warnings alert the driver. If the driver fails to correct the unintentional lane departure, the system is engineered to provide slight steering adjustments in order to keep the vehicle in the lane.

When Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) or the available Full-Speed Range DRCC * feature is engaged and lane markers are detected, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) * utilizes road lines and/or preceding vehicles to actively assist in driving and maintain the vehicle’s position within its lane. While LTA is active, the Emergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) is available to monitor the driver’s actions, including steering movements. If the EDSS detects driver inattention and the driver fails to respond to prompts to regain control of the vehicle, it can bring the vehicle to a stop under specific conditions.

Utilizing a smart camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) * is engineered to identify speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, yield signs, and specific warning signs. It then displays an icon representing the detected sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

TSS 2.5 & 2.5+

The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) * is engineered to identify vehicles, pedestrians, or bicyclists and issue an audio/visual warning for potential forward collisions in specific situations. If there is no response, the system is designed to engage automatic emergency braking.

Designed for highway usage, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * and the optional Full-Speed Range DRCC * are adaptive cruise control systems meant to be activated at speeds exceeding 20 mph. They utilize vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to assist in preserving a predetermined distance from the vehicle in front of you.

Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) * is engineered to detect white/yellow lane markings or specific road-edge boundary lines when the vehicle is traveling above 32 mph. In case of an unintended lane departure, the system issues an audio/visual warning. If the driver doesn’t respond, the system can gently assist with corrective steering to help maintain the lane.

When Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * or the optional Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar DRCC * is activated and lane markers are identified, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) * utilizes the road lines and/or preceding vehicles to offer active driving assistance, ensuring the vehicle remains centered within its lane.

TSS 2.0

The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) * is designed to detect vehicles, pedestrians, or bicyclists and provide an audio/visual warning for potential forward collisions in certain situations. If there is no response, the system is programmed to activate automatic emergency braking.

Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) * activates when white/yellow lane markings or specific road-edge boundaries are detected at speeds exceeding 32 mph. If the system detects an unintended lane departure, it issues an audio/visual warning. If the driver does not respond, the system can gently apply corrective steering to assist with lane-keeping.

When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * is engaged and lane markings are identified, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) * utilizes the road lines and/or preceding vehicles to actively assist in driving, ensuring the vehicle remains centered within its lane.

Employing a sophisticated camera system, Road Sign Assist (RSA) * is engineered to recognize speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs, and yield signs. It then displays an icon representing the detected sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).

TSS-P

The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) * is engineered to identify vehicles, pedestrians, or bicyclists and issue an audio/visual warning for possible forward collisions in specific scenarios. If there is no response, the system is programmed to initiate automatic emergency braking.

Designed for highway travel, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * is an adaptive cruise control system meant to be activated at speeds exceeding 30 mph. It employs vehicle-to-vehicle distance control to assist in maintaining a predetermined distance from the vehicle in front of you.

When Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) * is activated and lane markings are recognized, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) * utilizes the road lines and/or preceding vehicles to offer active driving assistance, ensuring the vehicle remains centered within its lane.

Automatic High Beams (AHB) * are engineered to enhance visibility during nighttime driving. When traveling above 21 mph, the AHB system detects oncoming vehicle headlights and preceding vehicle tail lights, automatically switching between high and low beams as needed.

What is Safety Connect®?

Safety Connect® * is a feature within Connected Services * designed to provide peace of mind for Toyota vehicle owners. In case of emergencies or urgent situations, our 24/7 response center can be easily accessed by pressing the in-vehicle “SOS” button.
